If you're holding your device in landscape when entering an article screen, the video will no longer automatically jump into full-screen mode. If you're holding your phone or tablet in portrait orientation when you're on an article, then you can still quickly launch video full-screen mode by rotating it to landscape. We also fixed some minor bugs.

The news is important; that’s why we work to make it easier to access in our app.
This latest build brings you larger, more legible text on articles and a design change to our video player that makes the mute and closed caption icons easier to tap.
Videos from the top of our article pages will shrink down and stick to the top of the screen as you pass them so you can keep an eye on the visual part of the story while you scan the page. Prefer to focus on the text? Just swipe the video up and away to close.
We’ve also fixed a handful of bugs.

-Articles now display the time and date of when the story was most-recently edited so you can tell when new information was added
-The home screen will automatically check for new stories when you return from another screen
-The app will default to a larger font size on articles if your phone settings are set for larger text
-You can now copy sentences from articles for when you want to share an important piece of news
-Fixed an issue where the app would occasionally get stuck on the launch screen
-When you submit a correction to a story, there are now clearer instructions for what to include in the email that opens
